Guardrails for Our Democracy; a panel discussion about protecting the rule of law

On Friday, May 9, 7-9 pm, in Watts Hall, Thomaston, the Knox County Democratic Committee (KCDC) will host the following panel of experts:

SHENNA BELLOWS, Maine Secretary of State.

AARON FREY, Maine Attorney General.

GARRETT MARTIN, President & CEO of Maine Center for Economic Policy.

ANNA KELLAR, Executive Director of Democracy Maine

Panelists will discuss steps being taken to challenge cuts in funding and programs done through Executive Order, and the guardrails that remain in place to preserve democracy, institutions, and programs that Mainers rely on. Come to listen, ask questions and present ideas for going forward.

Watts Hall doors will open at 6:30 pm. Attendees are highly encouraged to RSVP, as the venue space is limited.
