Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine Presents: Charlotte's Web

  • Watts Hall Community Arts 174 Main Street Thomaston, ME, 04861 United States (map)

An evening of fun for the whole family!

The Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine presents: Charlotte's Web
Based upon the story by E.B. White
Dramatized by Joseph Robinette

Some Pig. Terrific. Radiant. Humble. These are the words spun in Charlotte's Web, high up in Zuckerman's barn. These words are the scheming of a clever spider, determined to save the life of Wilbur, an irresistible young pig. Based on E. B. White's Newbery Honor Book, this play is a tender story of friendship, love, life, and loss that will continue to enchant generations to come.

Produced by special arrangement with DRAMATIC PUBLISHING, Woodstock, IL

Tickets for this event are offered on a Pay-What-You-Can sliding scale, thanks to a generous Local Community Grant from Walmart #1797, with a suggested ticket price of $15/person.

FAQs

Q: How is ticketing handled?
A: Ticketing is by general admission. There is no assigned seating - as such, we cannot guarantee that large parties will be seated together, especially if the show is sold out. We recommend arriving when the doors open for the highest likelihood of sitting together.

Q: What time do the doors open?
A: The doors open at 5:30 pm.

Q: Is this event family-friendly?
A: This event is for the young and the young-at-heart - all are welcome! All patrons, regardless of age, require a ticket.

Q: Is Watts Hall an accessible venue?
A: Yes, it is! While the auditorium is located on the second floor, we do have an ADA-compliant elevator available to anyone who needs it. We also have an accessible restroom. The doorways and hallways are nice and wide to accommodate mobility aids.

Q: Will tickets be available at the door?
A: Maybe. We don't reserve any tickets for door sales and our events often sell out in advance. If you want to guarantee entrance, we recommend purchasing your tickets in advance. We will update our Facebook page regarding the availability of door tickets the day of the event.

Q: Will food and drink be available for purchase?
A: Yes! A selection of concessions and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase.

Q: Where should I park?
A: Plenty of free parking is available behind the business block on the side of Rt. 1 opposite Watts Hall.

Q: Who should I talk to if I have any other questions?
A: You can send an email to our Managing Director, Kendray Rodriguez at wattshallcommunityarts@gmail.com
